Joey Keating, known to students and families as Mr. Keating, serves as Saint Mary’s Dean of Students and Athletic Director and teaches sixth grade math. This is his fourth year as part of the Saint Mary community.

Mr. Keating is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. One of the most rewarding parts of his many roles at Saint Mary is having the opportunity to make a positive impact on young people in the community and watch students grow from year to year.

For Mr. Keating, the sense of community found within a Catholic school is unmatched. He values the relationships formed among students, families, and staff and the opportunity to be part of a school community rooted in faith.

Outside of school, Mr. Keating enjoys running, plants and gardening, and exploring parks with his two-year-old daughter and his wonderful wife, Emily.

This year, Mr. Keating is especially looking forward to seeing how students have grown since the previous school year and supporting them as they continue to learn and develop. And whether a family has a big question or a small one, Mr. Keating wants them to know his email inbox is always open!
