Our Parish

Saint Mary Catholic Church is the third oldest Catholic church building in Columbus, Ohio and is home to an active parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus. The Church’s purpose and mission is centered in Christ and the Eucharist. We seek to be of one mind and heart with the Church by loving God with all our heart, all our mind, all our strength, all our soul; and by loving our neighbor as ourselves.

Saint Mary Catholic Church is located in the heart of the school’s campus and holds regular Mass and church events. For service details including Mass and confession schedules, youth and adult programs and more, please visit their website here.

Religious Curriculum

The Catechesis of the good shepherd Director: Jenny Berryhill

At Saint Mary School, Faith is at the heart of our community. Through our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program and together with Saint Mary Parish, our students deepen their relationship with God, experiencing a Catholic education rooted in love, service, and spiritual growth.

All students (K-8) attend weekly Mass every Friday morning. In addition, they participate in monthly Adoration and pray the Rosary alongside their peers and teachers. During the liturgical seasons of Lent and Advent, students also take part in the Sacrament of Penance. Throughout the school year, we come together to celebrate Feast Days, Holy Days, and other significant religious occasions.

At our school, Christ is at the center of both our classrooms and our education. Teachers integrate the teachings of Jesus Christ into daily lessons, fostering a faith-filled learning environment. Each month, our school community focuses on a specific virtue, and at the end of the month, peers vote on the student who best exemplifies that virtue.
