Lisa Wightman, known to students and families as Mrs. Wightman, serves as the School Counselor at Saint Mary School. This is her fifth year at Saint Mary, and she brings many years of counseling experience to our school community.
Mrs. Wightman holds a master’s degree in Counseling from The Ohio State University as well as a teaching degree from the University of Dayton. When asked about her favorite part of her job at Saint Mary, her answer is easy—all of it! She loves being part of the school community and especially enjoys the relationships she builds with students and staff.
Mrs. Wightman values the unique opportunity Catholic education provides to have God present in all aspects of her work. She appreciates being able to share with students the joy, comfort, and strength that can come from faith.
Outside of school, Mrs. Wightman loves being outdoors, riding her bike, swimming, working in the yard, reading, following baseball, and going out to dinner. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
This year, Mrs. Wightman is most looking forward to seeing the students and staff back at Saint Mary and continuing to be a source of support for the school community. Her door is always open—she’s here if you need her!
