Karen Bouchard

2nd Grade Teacher

Karen Bouchard, known to students and families as Mrs. Bouchard, teaches second grade at Saint Mary School. This is her 12th year at Saint Mary and her 22nd year as a full-time educator.

Mrs. Bouchard holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Some of her favorite parts of teaching are the happy, creative, and insightful moments she shares with her students each day and the opportunity to watch them discover new things about themselves and the world around them.

For Mrs. Bouchard, sharing her faith with others is also a way to continually develop and strengthen her own relationship with God. She especially treasures the unique faith journey that happens during second grade and looks forward to witnessing her Catholic students receive their First Holy Communion.

Outside of school, Mrs. Bouchard enjoys playing competitive tennis, attending Orangetheory, running, and spending time with her husband, children, and new grandchild.

This year, Mrs. Bouchard is looking forward to nurturing a classroom rooted in kindness, helpfulness, and trust in God. Her hope is to see each of her students grow academically, thrive socially, and soar spiritually. She also wants students and families to know that she is always available to help, guide, and support them with any questions or concerns along the way.
