Isabel Morbitzer, known to students and families as Ms. Morbitzer, teaches seventh and eighth grade math and seventh grade religion at Saint Mary School. She has been part of the Saint Mary community for four years and is beginning her fifth year.

Ms. Morbitzer graduated from Capital University with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math and English Language Arts. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio Dominican University and will graduate in December.

One of Ms. Morbitzer’s favorite parts of teaching is finding new and creative ways to make math click for her students. She especially loves seeing the moment when a student finally understands a challenging concept and watching their confidence and skills grow throughout the year.

Having attended Catholic schools herself, Ms. Morbitzer values the sense of community and support found in Catholic education. She is grateful for the opportunity to provide her students with the same quality education she received while helping them grow in their faith and ensuring they feel loved and supported at school.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Morbitzer enjoys baking, cooking, reading, crocheting, discovering new coffee shops, rollerblading, and going to concerts.

This year, Ms. Morbitzer is excited to promote even more STEM education in the middle school and help students discover what they can accomplish through math. She is also looking forward to welcoming a new class of seventh graders and continuing to work with the eighth graders as they make the most of their final year at Saint Mary.
