Teresa Monds, known to students and families as Mrs. Monds, has been sharing her love of music with Saint Mary students for 32 years and has spent 37 years in education. She leads Saint Mary’s music, band, drama, and choir programs, helping students discover their talents both in the classroom and on the stage.

Mrs. Monds earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Otterbein College. One of her favorite parts of teaching is seeing her students perform, have fun, and grow in confidence as musicians.

For Mrs. Monds, teaching at a Catholic school also provides the special opportunity to share her Catholic faith and beliefs with her students as part of their everyday learning.

Outside of school, Mrs. Monds loves spending time with her family, especially at the beach. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, listening to live music, and camping.

As she looks ahead to another year at Saint Mary, Mrs. Monds hopes to continue building her students’ confidence in reading and performing music and helping them experience the joy that comes from making music together.
